Can I order on line?

No, not at this time. We believe in a more personal approach with our clients over the telephone. In addition, it costs a considerable sum of money to offer this option, which is passed on to you, the customer.

I live in Northern Ireland, do you charge delivery to ship here?

There is usually an additional cost in the region of £25 per delivery.

I want a heavy duty round table, what do you recommend?

The Victoria range is a rugged, heavy table available in 5ft & 6ft. Octagonal options too.

Are there any additional costs to the prices shown?

A delivery charge will apply, the cost depends on the delivery location. However, as a guide, a bench might normally cost around £45 to deliver.

Do you offer different sizes on your furniture?

Yes, just select the product page you are interested in and you will see that the page lists all variants of the style you have selected.

Can you supply specially made furniture?

Yes, take a look at the 'Special Commissions' page to view just a few of the bespoke furniture supplied in the past. It is usually possible to produce just about any size variant of the standard range.

How can I pay?

Cheque, BACS/CHAPS, or we do take most credit cards, but not American Express.

I can buy hardwood furniture at lower prices. Why is Teak more?

Our grade A teak is strong, heavy, and crafted by the Britannic skilled workforce. It is virtually maintenance free and will endure for many years. Therefore it is much more cost effective to acquire furniture made from Teak. Also, much of the furniture on the market is from Indonesia, is mass produced by, at best, a semi skilled workforce, often using smaller sections of teak. In addition, there are a number of cheaper hardwoods used for outdoor furniture and all of them are inferior to teak. Iroko is the most common of these woods and it does not have the same life expectancy as teak, let alone the same touch, feel or aesthetic quality. Teak furniture is not expensive when you relate the cost to its life expectancy, you must remember this when comparing prices. You are not comparing like with like when you compare the grade A teak crafted furniture with any other wood. See What is teak?

I want to buy a garden bench, can you engrave it for me?

Yes, just tell us what you want and we can arrange this at a modest charge. See 'Engraving'

Do I have to assemble my furniture when it is delivered?

No. All of our furniture is complete. However, some heavier tables and Sun Loungers are sometimes freighted with the legs separate.

Where can I view your furniture?

The factory showroom is just 10 minutes from junction 14 of the M5, in Alveston (North West of Bristol). They are usually open on Saturday mornings until noon. Please call for directions.

Does your furniture come with a guarantee?

In the unlikely event there is a structural failure or design fault we will replace on a like for like basis or refund your money in full subject to sight of the original invoice. In the event that the product is fault free, there is a handling charge, which is deducted from any refund.

Can I collect my order from you?

Yes, you can collect Teak furniture from us, providing we have sufficient notice. The factory is in South Gloucestershire near the M5.

How do I look after my furniture?

Teak is a natural product, it can be left out in the open all year round in any weather. Its colour will gradually mellow to a graceful silver grey. The character of your furniture will alter, but its strength will remain. See What is teak?

How long will my furniture last?

Teak furniture should last a lifetime if properly built in the first place. Only top grade A teak is used and crafted into the finest teak furniture. Teak resists both warping and rot.

Cracks have appeared in my furniture, why?

This is perfectly normal as the wood breathes and reacts to variations in the moisture content of the air. The cracking tends to appear on the end grain sections and usually happens early in the life of the furniture. Cracks come and go depending on seasonal variations but rarely do they affect the strength, performance or life expectancy of the item.

Should I protect the furniture during Winter?

There is no need to. It may need a washing down with soapy water in Spring before use.

I spilt my drink over my table and it's left a stain, what can I do?

Most drinks stains will weather out naturally or can be cleaned down with soapy water and a hard brush. Other damage or stains (even red wine) can be removed quite simply using ordinary sandpaper. The grade of sandpaper depends on the degree of damage. Serious damage, start with course and move up to fine. Light damage, fine grade is all you will need. Stains usually disappear with a light sanding.
